Circus scenes mixing live action and animation.
Unusual use of cartoon drawings which change into live action.
A parade of elephants through a city street (probably in America). Men ride on the elephants' backs. Crowds of people including African Americans wait for the circus show to start. A large tent bears the inscription: "To the Big Show - Main Entrance". A cartoon artist paints a picture before our eyes of a boy trying to peek under the canvas for a free view of the show. This then turns into a live action shot of a real boy crawling under the canvas.
A young boy gets spun around on a piece of machinery - a makeshift fairground ride. A drawing again turns into live action when a "giant" enters the scene. Children and adults crowd around this very tall man. We then see a very small person (a dwarf) standing on a table while people crowd around to see him. He takes his hat off.
