    NB.
    The game itself is regarded as being the first overseas exhibition match of Australian Rules football. The game was played at the Queens Club in Kensington, London, on October 28, 1916. The opposing teams were made up of Australian soldiers from the 3rd Division (under Sir John Monash's leadership) and what were called the Training Units, which had been preparing for the Western Front at training facilities near Salisbury, in Wiltshire. Many of the footballers who took part in this game had played football at a senior level in Australia. A crowd of 3000 people attended and money raised on the day went to the Red Cross.

    Hello

    Wonderful footage... But this is not rugby!

    This game was held on oct.28 1916 at Queen's Club by two ANZAC teams playing Aussie Rules ("footy"). Crowd of 3000 included the then Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII) and King Manuel II of Portugal.

    It is known as the "Pioneer Exhibition Game".

    National Library of Australia has kept a detailed programme of the game, incl. name of players.

    Australian War Memorial also has photographies of the teams.

    Couldn't be an RAF uniform as this game was played in 1916. Royal Air Corp would be my guess.....
