  • Short Summary

Alligators are seen in pens - alligator handlers move them around.

  • Description

Low angle shot of a large alligator sculpture. C/U of half a dozen young alligators in pens - they are in very small areas with straw on the ground. C/U of an alligator being held by a keeper. It has string tied around its muzzle. The string is cut.

C/U of the alligators in pens. Handlers lift them out and one man brings one of the animals very close to the camera. High angle shot of small alligator in a pool of water. Other alligators are lowered onto the ground and have the string taken off their muzzles. C/U of keeper walking towards the camera holding large alligator. This animal is dragged along by its tail and then its skin is brushed with a large yard broom. C/U of the alligator having its back brushed - it seems to like it.

"For years and years lots of people wondered why alligators happened - the shoe, bag and hide business showed us the best reason - " L/S of a very ornate Middle Eastern looking building with palm trees in a courtyard. C/U of alligator moving into the pool. High angle of dozens of alligators lying on the side of the pool. L/S of the pool - which seems to be in the courtyard of the large building - some alligators are in the water, some bask on the side. C/U of a bearded man - possibly the owner of the alligators. He prods the ground (or possibly the alligators?) with a walking stick. More shots of alligators being brushed and being lowered into the pool. C/Us of several large alligators basking in the sun.
